PALABRAS Y FRASES
Students in grades one through five can earn extra credit by seeking out Spanish words and phrases throughout the course of their daily lives. This can be if they see a word on a can of soup, or if they see it on a sign at the airport, for example. If they write down, and bring their findings to class, they can present them to the class. This enables students to not only recognize these words, but also practice writing, and reading them aloud to the class, thus using various senses to practice and learn words. Each student who brings these in earns "stars" for their class. The class at each grade level with the most stars after a three month period gets to have a "star party" during Spanish class.
